Sierra Vista Junior High
Oct. 28th, 2007 11:33 amI just found my 8th grade diploma certificate!

Covina was still a fairly typical small town back in '68. You were just one or two acquaintances away from knowing everybody. For instance, our family personally knew two of the Board of Education members. Dr. Teal lived across the street from us, three doors down, and my dad coached Mr. Berkman's two sons in American Legion baseball (they lived on Barranca in the big house at the top of the hill on the left as you head down toward Mesa School and South Hills; it's probably still there).
